FAQs
-
Astrology uses symbology to help understand the self. It can be useful to help understand one’s patterns and typical reactions to life’s circumstances. Astrology can be used as a map of one’s life and where we are in the “journey of life”.
-
Symbols can manifest themselves in a myriad of possibilities. We never truly know how the universe will unfold in our lives. If life becomes predictable, then, in theory, it becomes sterile and essentially boring. The mystery of life needs to be always present. Therefore, we never truly know how a certain situation will unfold. Yes, we can look for patterns and commonalities in the symbology. But we never truly know how the future will 100 percent manifest itself. We can look for right planetary timing for a situation but we have free will. How we react to a “better timed” event will also influence what will happen. It also can help to look back at a situation that has already occurred and look at the symbology that is associated with that occurrence to gain a different perspective on it.
-
Your natal chart is the exact representation of the “heavens” in the exact date and time and location of your birth. Your natal chart never changes. It can show potential personality types or motivations or typical reactions.
-
The planets are constantly changing in the sky. As they change, they can assert a particular influence in the collective and/or the individual.
A transit chart takes the chart of the sky at a particular moment in time. We look at the influence of the planetary changes to our natal chart. As the planets connect with a planet in our natal chart, changes occur that can affect our life experience.
-
Besides the transit chart, the progressed chart is used most frequently to determine the cycles of someone’s life. Our energies and focus can change over time. The secondary progressed chart can show these shifts along our path. The secondary progressed chart goes by the premise that the first 90 days of our lives equals 90 years of one’s life. A day equals a year. Whatever the astrology that was happening in the sky for the first 90 days of our lives is stretched out to 90 years and beyond. This may seem far-fetched but you would be surprised how much you can learn about your life and what you may be going through by looking at the secondary progressed chart and how it influences your natal chart.
-
You need your birth date, birth location (city, state, country), and exact birth time.
-
Yes, without the exact time of birth, a lot of pertinent information is not available so we are missing a big piece of your astrological journey.
-
You can get your birth time on your birth certificate. If your birth certificate does not have your time or you don’t have your birth certificate, you can order one from the Hospital you were born in or The County of Records/Vital Records in the County you were born. Please ask for a long form birth certificate with your time of birth on it. If you ask the County of Records, depending on the County, sometimes they will tell you birth time right over the phone. Make sure you clarify if its AM or PM. You can also ask a family member who is very confident of your time of birth. Baby books sometimes will also have this information.
